Project Management for Life (PM4L)

-"Empowering Youth Through Project Management Education"
About: Project Management for Life

Project Management for Life (PM4L) is a pioneering initiative aimed at equipping school students with essential project management skills. Since its inception in 2014, PM4L has been empowering youth to apply these skills in everyday life and future careers, fostering a generation of organized, goal-oriented individuals.

Through PM4L, we have successfully influenced and engaged students and schools to align with our organization’s core values, investing in youth education “preparing Next Gen”. By integrating sustainability and ethical governance into our curriculum, using sustainable resources, collaborating with like-minded partners, and promoting community engagement, we ensure the end-to-end and whole life footprint of our project is considered and positively impacted. This comprehensive approach demonstrates our commitment to creating a sustainable future and fostering responsible project management practices.

History: PM4L was established in 2014 by the PMI Melbourne Chapter, RMIT, and Ericsson Australia, with a vision to introduce project management as a critical life skill. Initially started by 5-6 dedicated project managers, the program has since grown significantly. The name PM4L was adopted in 2015, highlighting its broader focus on life skills beyond professional project management.

Mission: To empower students with project management principles to enhance their academic and personal lives.
