We are now accepting nominations for the PMI Melbourne Conference 2022 Awards. 

These awards honour organisations and individuals who have demonstrated their passion, talent and expertise that has made the greatest contribution to the Project Management profession. 

Excellent work, initiative, teamwork, and thought leadership all deserve recognition

Selection Criteria

PROJECT OF THE YEAR

Award Criteria

The Project of the Year Award recognises a project of any size that:

  • Excelled in delivering the desired outcomes and benefits 
  • The project execution met or exceeded the time, cost, and quality goals
  • Consideration will be given to delivery achievements in the face of a complex or challenging environment, and/or issues or barriers which required superior performance to surmount 

Award Eligibility

  • Project of any size, type, from any industry, in public or private sectors.
  • Project originated and managed in Victoria.
  • The project must have been completed in the 12 months prior to 08/04/2022
  • Membership of the PMI for at least one project team member is encouraged but not mandatory.

PROJECT PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

Award Criteria

Individuals who have made significant achievement or sustained performance in contribution to the completion of one or more projects during the last year:

  • They have been instrumental in ensuring the desired outcomes of the project were realised
  • The achievements demonstrated skilled use and application of project management standards and practices
  • The achievement demonstrated initiative and leadership

Award Eligibility

  • The nominee may work in any field, such as business, government, non-profit, academia, research, consulting, training, etc.
  • The nominee has been instrumental in the success of 1 or more projects in any role, ie Project Manager, Scrum Master, Project Coordinator, Product Owner, Programme Manager, Architect / Engineer, etc
  • The nominee must be based in Melbourne (nominators do NOT need to be based in Melbourne)
  • Nominations may be originated by the nominee themselves, or by the nominee’s employer, colleagues, team members or customer.
  • Achievements cited in the answers below must have been made within the 12 months prior to 08/04/2022.

PMO OF THE YEAR

Award Criteria

This Award honours a Project Management Office (PMO) that has:

  • Increased the performance of programmes and projects within the organisation
  • Demonstrated a good understanding and application of PMO practices
  • Can show how the programmes and projects have contributed to the organisation’s success
  • Have engaged effectively with the organisation’s senior management

Award Eligibility

  • All corporate, non-profit, and government PMOs are eligible
  • All PMO types are eligible – Enterprise PMOs as well as IT PMOs, New Product Development PMOs, or other Business Unit PMOs
  • More than one PMO from an organisation may apply as the award is to the PMO, not the organisation
  • The PMO must be predominantly based in Melbourne.
  • PMO achievements cited in the answers below must relate to the 12 months prior to 08/04/2022
  • Membership of the PMI for at least one member of the PMO is encouraged but not mandatory.

Please fill in the form via the button below to complete your award submission. If you would like to submit a second submission, please fill in a second form. Note, the questions asked during the submission process differ slightly for each award.

PMI Melbourne Conference 2022 reserves the right not to select any recipients if the evaluations performed indicate that nominations do not meet the stated criteria.

The awards winners will be announced at the PMI Melbourne Awards Gala Dinner to be held on Monday 16 May 2022.
